I blogged in July on the new Red Flag ID Theft Rules developed under the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act effective November 1, 2008. Now the Federal Trade Commission has delayed enforcement of the rules until May 1, 2009. Dozier Internet Law again recommends that lead generation and affiliate marketers pay attention to the rules and prepare for compliance if the rules apply to your specific situation.
At Dozier Internet Law we can assist affiliate marketers and others in either complying or restructuring your business processes so the rules do not apply to your operations. Sometimes simple changes can be made to avoid this regulatory mandate.
